UK Units of Alcohol

overment advises alcohol consumption by men should be no more than 3 to 4 units of alcohol per day. Women should restrict alcohol intake to 2 to 3 units per day.

UK Legal Driving Limit for Alcohol is 80mg per 100ml of blood.
This varies for different size of person, and many other factors.
The only safe driving limit is : Don't Drink Alcohol at least 12 hours before driving.

Alcohol is metabolized at the rate of 0.015 blood concentration every hour.
Therefore as an estimate only : A person with moderately high intake of alcohol will need at least 10 to 12 hours before the blood shows under the UK legal driving limit.
